Listings FAQ

Before you apply.

How often do you update the Hollister rental listings?

Every time a home's status changes. When an application is accepted for a unit near San Benito Street, the listing flips to pending the same day, and it comes off the list at lease signing.

Can I see a home before applying?

Yes, and we encourage it. Tours are scheduled by phone or online, and out-of-area applicants get a walk-through video so nobody rents a home they've never seen.

What's included in rent?

Each listing spells it out. Some include water, sewer, and trash; others include landscaping or courtyard care. Electricity, gas, and internet are generally the resident's responsibility.

What is the security deposit for a home in San Benito County?

Usually 1 month's rent for an unfurnished home, which is the California cap for most landlords. Pet deposits are listed separately on the Tres Pinos or Hollister homes that allow animals.

Do you hold a home while I decide?

Once an application is approved, we hold the home for up to ten days with a signed lease and deposit. We don't hold homes on a verbal maybe — that isn't fair to the next applicant.

Can I apply for more than one home?

Yes. One application and one screening fee per adult covers any of our available homes for sixty days.

What if the specific apartment I want in Hollister isn't listed yet?

Tell us what you're looking for and your timeline. We keep a waiting list by bedroom count and town—covering Aromas to Paicines—and it goes out before new homes hit the public list.

Not seeing it?

Get on the early list.

Tell us bedrooms, budget, and town. Homes go to the waiting list before they go public.
