Care questions
Labs, referrals, physicals, and vaccines.
What are the out-of-pocket costs for patients in Tres Pinos or Paicines?
For those without insurance in the greater Hollister area, an in-office medical visit is $95 and telehealth is $75. Labs and vaccines are billed separately at cost; we always provide a total estimate before any tests are performed so there are no surprises.
Can you do labs in the office?
Blood draws, urine testing, rapid strep, flu, and COVID are done on site. Send-out panels go to a regional lab and results are usually back within two business days.
Where can I get a DOT physical or school sports physical in San Benito County?
We provide DOT, pre-employment, and school sports physicals with same-week availability for local athletes and drivers. Simply bring your required forms to our office near Highway 25, and we will complete and sign them before you leave.
Can you help manage chronic conditions like diabetes?
Chronic care is a primary focus for our San Benito County patients. You will see the same provider every time, A1C and lipid panels are drawn right here in our office, and we review your home readings together in detail.
Do you prescribe controlled medications?
Some, with an in-person evaluation and within California's monitoring requirements. Chronic pain and ADHD medication management is handled case by case and often in coordination with a specialist.
How do you handle specialist referrals for patients in the Hollister area?
When advanced care is required, we refer to trusted specialists in Salinas, Gilroy, and San Jose. Our front desk staff actively follows up to ensure you have successfully secured an appointment rather than leaving the coordination entirely to you.
Are immunizations and flu shots available at the clinic?
We stock childhood immunizations, flu, shingles, and pneumonia vaccines for our Hollister neighbors. Most other specialized or travel vaccines can be ordered and are typically ready for you within 1 week.
