New patients

It's been a while? Start here.

The first visit is an exam, digital x-rays, and a cleaning — $149 without insurance, and verified ahead of time if you have a plan. Nobody here lectures you about the gap since your last appointment.

Before the visit

What to bring.

  • Photo ID and your dental insurance card
  • A list of medications and any recent health changes
  • The name of your previous dentist for record transfer
  • Recent x-rays if you already have copies
  • Your questions — including the ones you're embarrassed about
  • Fifteen minutes early, or the forms filled out from your phone
New-patient steps

From booking to the written plan.

1. Book without a phone tree

Request an appointment online any hour, or call and reach the Hollister front desk — not a regional call center in another state.

2. Insurance checked before you arrive

We verify your plan and send your estimated out-of-pocket cost before the visit, so the first conversation isn't about money.

3. Treatment explained on a screen

Intraoral photos and x-rays go up on the monitor next to you. You see what we see before agreeing to anything.

4. A written plan, in order of urgency

What needs doing now, what can wait a year, and what's optional — with prices, so you can pace the work to your budget.

New patient FAQ

Records, coverage, payment plans, and cleaning intervals.

What do new patients need to bring to the office?

Please bring a photo ID, your insurance card, a medication list, and your previous dentist’s name for record transfers. You can save time by filling out forms on your phone before driving into downtown Hollister.

How do I transfer my dental records from another office to Hollister?

Simply sign a single release form during your first visit and our team will handle the request for records and x-rays from your previous provider. We reuse any clear, usable x-rays that are less than 1 year old to avoid unnecessary imaging.

What if I don't have dental insurance?

Prices are published and an in-house membership plan covers two cleanings, exams, and x-rays for a flat annual fee with a discount on other treatment. No claims, no waiting periods, no annual maximum.

Are payment plans available for major dental work?

Yes. We stage larger plans so work follows 1 priority at a time based on urgency. We also offer third-party financing with interest-free periods for implant and cosmetic services for our San Benito County patients.

How frequently should I schedule a dental cleaning at your practice?

Most adults should visit every 6 months. For patients in the Aromas or Paicines area dealing with gum disease, we may recommend a 3 or 4 month periodontal maintenance schedule, using your specific gum measurements to guide the timing.

Does your Hollister dental office accept Medi-Cal (Denti-Cal)?

We currently accept Medi-Cal Dental (Denti-Cal) for pediatric patients. Because adult coverage under Medi-Cal can vary significantly, our front desk team verifies individual eligibility before your appointment rather than after you arrive.

Is online booking available for your Hollister office?

Yes, our online request form takes about 1 minute to complete from any mobile device. Our front desk will then confirm a specific appointment time with you via text or phone within the same business day.
